WCG 2008 & THE Olympics

I decided not to be lazy anymore (: im getting down to blogging about my weekend! starting from friday. the rest will be up sooooon!

Friday saw me taking a half day to go down to support JTL for his WCG tournament. that fella won first - like its anything new?! OK, i shall fan his ego here as a way of telling him directly (cuz he reads this blog?) that im proud and pleased with his achievement. haha!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WIN, JONATHAN TAKUMI LEE! PLUS THE GERMANY TRIP THAT CAME WITH IT, PLUS MAINTAINING YOUR TITLE AS THE BEST IN SINGAPORE!!

Like this gaming magazine....

That had an article about the faces of WCG with pictures of some of this year's WCG 2008 contenders!! (ok, ive met at least 2 out of the 5 featured here!)

Plus forums with predictions and ratings that hes gonna win the first spot for Project Gotham Racing 4 (yes, speaking of Gotham - i think hes aspiring to be a cyber batman la! *cold wind* ok, bad attempt)

HOW NOT TO WIN?! (:
take note that im using your favourite winning colour hor.

Haha, prize giving was crazy ok. this one i must complain. how can anyone cater to a prize giving event without having sufficient seats? its either that gaming in Singapore doesnt have much supporters or sponsers or much attention from the media which is why they only had like a pathetic small space for the prize giving event. dont get me wrong! the stage had an awesome set up, the em-cee was awesome, the flags from many different asian countries was awesome - BUT IT JUS STOPPED SHORT OF SEATS FOR PEOPLE TO ENJOY THE WHOLE "AWESOME" FACTOR! @#!#*%)_&$ enough said. haha! i was standing playing with the DS lite. and you know how i am when i start doing something - im a bad multi tasker. so i kinda jus forgot that i was standing. BUT STILL, thats not the point.

Afterwhich we headed back to my place with fresh prawns and beef for my maid to whip up a meal! we were both hungry and craving for home cooked food laa. and my auntie Rose is a super cook who can whip up dishes for dinner for me in an hour after bringing back the fresh produce. i heart her for that! haha.

So that means that i lazed at home and managed to catch parts of the Beijing Olympics 2008 opening ceremony! (: im sure that you all will agree on this that (MAN!!) give the chinese an idea and they have no problems making that idea/dream a reality. like the Olympics stadium isnt a cool structural building? dont get me started on structural buildings in china, they have built them to scale higher than high heights and weirder than weird angles architectually! they have millions (wait, billion?) citizens as candidates to pick for different sports and all - its no wonder that they (to-date) have the highest medal count for Olympics 2008 now (they do right? or am i living under a rock? cant be laaaaa, i remember reading from somewhere!) I TELL YOU, they can do anything you ask of them. minus the language barriers they do have at times, or the difficulties they have communicating in perfect english sentences and all... i just hope they brush up on their english (grammer and what nots) i think chinese is a beautiful beautiful language!!! (come on, i worked there for a few months, did business and language cultural programs there for months too. i have nothing but respect for the chinese language!) you can have 2 words and that same two words split apart gives you different meanings and what nots! like 写子楼 as an example. 写子楼 means office building. but 写 by itself means write, 子 by itself can mean son, 楼 by itself means floor right? SO ISNT IT JUS AMAZING? (:

And oh yes, mahjong at aloy's went great. i won a whopping $60. the biggest win in my life playing mahjong with them! haha. apparently, JTL said hes my lucky charm. he, technically, jus sat there and turned on to shut down mode (well, understandly so because we had a long day) plus he doesnt know how to play singapore style mahjong - where the luck from come? okok, fine, a winner's aura.... o.O hehe! in all cases, it was a good win. but anyhoo, shall we start taking out the calculator and have the accountant tell you how much more she's lost before when she played with them? i think that when it comes to gambling, you pretty much even out. there are days you lose alot and days you win alot. and theres more good days ahead for me now, or so i hope!?

*TGI(was)F!!!!*

wasnt it awesome? think how my saturday and sunday was man... haha! :D
